Character Name: Frederick Baudin

AU Background:
Frederick Baudin was born to a moderately well-off family. While they could not exactly be considered “rich”, Frederick had a life where he never needed for anything. Incredibly active as a child, Frederick spent far more time playing and exploring outdoors than indoors. Frederick never saw the appeal to spending time inside, and only did so when the weather did not permit outdoor activities or if he had more pressing work to accomplish.
His parents signed him up for the boy scouts, and it was here that Frederick truly shined. He excelled at nearly every activity his troop participated in. He could set up and take down any campsite and he was the fastest scout at starting campfires. Things seemed to be going great for Frederick. However, when he was around 10 years old, Frederick misread some trail markings and ended up getting lost in a forest while on a scout camping trip. Frederick tried to put to use his knowledge in trying to find his way back to the campsite, but before he make it far, he came across a lone wolf. Startled, the wolf attacked Frederick.
It was Frederick’s screams that drew the search party, already assembled and looking for him, and they were able to save Frederick before much damage could be done. He was hospitalized and treated for his injuries and made a complete recovery. However, his parents immediately pulled him from the scouts, worried about his safety. Frederick himself still loved the outdoors and everything to do with it, however because of the attack he gained a fear of wild animals, so he did not put up much of a fight against his parent’s decision.
Life continued on for Frederick Baudin. He graduated from high school, and almost immediately afterwards, he joined the military. Much like in his youth, Frederick enjoyed the structure of the military and excelled at being a model soldier. Because of his tremendous work ethic and the respect he earned from his fellow soldeirs, Frederick earned several promotions, eventually reaching the rank of Captain.
After serving some time in the military, he was honorably discharged from the military and he settled in Yongenjaya. He put to use his military training and became a fitness trainer for a local gym. While incredibly intense with his training, Frederick was also sought after by many gym members. (Testimonials include: “I felt like I was going to die but dear lord is my body fantastic.” and “I reached my fitness goals even if my body had to hurt in places that I never knew it could hurt”).
Yet, his time as a fitness trainer only served as a transition. Frederick worked as a fitness trainer to support himself as he went through the police academy. His desire for law and order and a profession that would help people made being a police officer a perfect choice for him. Soon enough, Frederick graduated from the police academy and stopped working at the gym as a fitness trainer. Though, Frederick still provides his services as a private trainer. He takes clients upon recommendation from former clients and “Frederick’s Fanatical Fitness Hours” are still in high demand.
